Junior Achievement Learning Experiences support Chautauqua County students

(Williamsville, NY) Now more than ever, Junior Achievement (JA) recognizes and supports the need to accelerate online and virtual learning capability and is committed to keeping Chautauqua County students in control of their learning and financial future. 

JA Learning Experiences in Chautauqua County are delivered to students in: Falconer, Fredonia, Frewsburg, Jamestown, Sherman and Westfield school districts, as well as infused into P-Tech program delivery. JA is on track to reach approximately 1772 students in Chautauqua County in this current 2021-2022 school year. To meet student delivery, funding and volunteer support is key. Generous funding support is provided by: Blackstone Advanced Technologies LLC., Chautauqua Region Community Foundation, The Cummins Foundation, Holmberg Foundation, The Lenna Foundation, Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation, The Ralph C. Sheldon Foundation, United Way of Northern Chautauqua County, and United Way of Southern Chautauqua County. Organizations supporting volunteer classroom needs are: Chautauqua Striders, Community Volunteers, Courier Capital LLC, Falconer Printing and Design, Jamestown Area YMCA, Media One Radio Group, Merrill Lynch, Peace Wesleyan Church, The Resource Center, Weinberg Financial Group, YWCA Jamestown, and YWCA Westfield.

Research shows the most impactful learning effectively combines personal interaction and technology. The recent transformation into blended digital learning has enabled Junior Achievement of WNY to keep program delivery relevant and responsive in the changing educational landscape. Junior Achievement’s digital-first focus prioritizes effective models for connecting volunteers with students in a virtual setting, enhances JA’s online delivery infrastructure to complement existing programs and creates new digital experiences to meet the ever-changing needs of the modern classroom. JA programs are adaptable and deliverable across a variety of classroom delivery approaches with support from the local community. Chautauqua County students are fortunate to have the perfect blend of educator, funder and volunteer support to provide an expanded and engaging educational experience.
