Our annual JA Stock Market Challenge is a student favorite!
High school students from all over Western New York will have the opportunity to participate in a stock market challenge simulation for 10 days as part of their JA Take Stock in Your Future® program.
The purpose of the JA Stock Market Challenge is to give students a better understanding of trading strategies and portfolio management. Students will also learn how to use a variety of financial instruments and their risks and rewards as they apply to asset management.
Students will work as a team, or individually, and make their own trades during an online stock market challenge using fictitious money based on a new platform made exclusively for Junior Achievement students.
FALL 2026 CHALLENGE:
A virtual challenge taking place November 9-20, 2026.
SPRING 2027 CHALLENGE:
A virtual challenge taking place March 1-12, 2027.
IN-PERSON CHAMPIONSHIP:
Top competitors from our virtual competitions will be invited to attend an in-person championship at the end of April or early May at Erie 1 BOCES. Date TBD. Volunteers are needed.
