Junior Achievement 2022 Celebrity Media Trivia Challenge Winners Announced
(Buffalo, NY) – On March 10, 2022, local media talent competed in a five-round virtual trivia showdown to claim bragging rights of the Junior Achievement of WNY Celebrity Media Trivia Challenge. The media challenge kicks off the annual Play4JA fundraiser. Play4JA raises funds in support of Junior Achievement learning experiences for local students in grades Kindergarten through 12.
Winning both bragging rights and gift cards to Tops Friendly Markets, was Paul Peck, Voice of University at Buffalo Bulls Football, Host of Beat the Champ Bowling Show, as well as VP of Sports Development at VSP Graphics Group. Paul took first place with a score of 2,292 points. Only 6 points behind in second place was our 2021 winner, Tom Puckett from WBEN Radio, with 2,286. In third place, with 2,222 points, was Dave Fields from 106.5 WYRK. The five rounds of trivia were: Famous Advertising Slogans, Current Events from February 2022, Name That Album Cover, Famous Sidekicks and Are you Smarter than a JA 5th Grader?
Additional participating media talent included Liz Mantel (107.7 The Wolf), Dave McKinley (WGRZ), Katie Morse (WKBW), DJ Ed “Nice” Jackson (WBLK), Jordan James (host and Executive Producer of Good Deeds Buffalo on WBBZ), and Rich “Bull” Gaenzler (host of Bull in the Basement).
